Milestones

These are my milestone posts. I celebrated each milestone with great joy. It was like I had reached another step up along the pathway to smoke freedom. I did not set goals, per se, other than to quit smoking and I reached that goal at 2 PM on May 25th, 1998. Smile. ddSteve, my quit coach, had talked to me early in my quit about setting goals. Once a goal is reached, there is a let down that usually follows it. And that let down can be dangerous. The Quit Path is never ending, he told me. I have chosen to be smoke free for the rest of my life so hopefully, I am travelling a long path that will never be done. But I do honor my milestones because they are the markers along the path that tell me progress has been made.
